To remove the buildup of bath residue from body oils, soaps and other bath products, fill the tub with the hottest water available and dissolve 1/4 cup of dishwasher detergent or 1/2 cup of bleach. Turn on the jets with the air induction system off and allow the water to circulate for 15 minutes. Drain the tub.
Fill the tub with cold water. Turn on the whirlpool, and allow the water to circulate another 15 minutes to remove the disinfectant from the system. Turn off the whirlpool, and drain the tub.
Avoid using any product that could scratch the surface of the tub. Use a mild, nonabrasive bathroom cleaner to clean the surface of the tub. Spray the product on the surface, and use a soft sponge or rag to wipe away any stains or bathtub ring. Rinse the tub with hot water to remove any cleaner residue.
