Create a homemade cleaning solution using 1 quart of hot water and 1 teaspoon of dish detergent.
While wearing gloves to protect your hands, use a microfiber cloth to apply the solution to the refrigerator.
Rub the front and sides of the refrigerator, making sure you remove all stubborn marks and fingerprints. Rub with the grain of the stainless steel.
Using a clean cloth and clean hot water, wipe off the cleaning solution.
Use another clean, dry cloth to dry the refrigerator.
Use a soft, clean cloth to apply mineral oil to the surface, and buff away any remaining streaks to leave the refrigerator looking shiny. There are also special stainless steel cleaners that can be used to keep stainless steel looking great and make new fingerprints and smudges less noticeable.
