To clean Revere Ware cookware, scour the interior, treat grease stains with Bar Keeper's Friend, and apply copper polish. This process takes about an hour and requires sponges, hot water, a stove, a stock pot, baking soda, soap, a Scotch-Brite pad, copper polish and Bar Keeper's Friend metal cleaner.
- Scour the interior
Rub the interior with a sponge soaked in water and liquid soap. Treat stubborn food residue with a Scotch-Brite pad. If the vessel contains large deposits of hardened food, submerge it for 15 minutes in a stock pot of boiling water and several cups of baking soda. Lift the vessel out of the pot, and remove the softened residue with a sponge.
- Lift small grease stains
Fill the vessel with water, set it on a stove, and select the hottest temperature setting. When the water boils, remove the vessel from the heat, pour out most of the water, sprinkle Bar Keeper's Friend over the small grease stains, and scrub them with a sponge. Repeat if necessary.
- Apply copper polish
Dip a wet sponge into copper polish, and smooth it over the vessel. Rub the copper until no tarnish or dull spots remain, and remove the polish with a wet sponge.
