To clean any type of Jack LaLanne Power Juicer, you must disassemble the machine, wipe the base with a damp cloth, wash the pusher, lid and pulp collector in soapy water and rinse the filter and blade under warm running water. If you have a juicer with a removable spout, you must unlock it from the receptacle part of the machine to clean it.
- Disassemble the power juicer
Turn off and unplug the power juicer. Remove the pusher from the chute, then lower the locking bar to unlock the top half from the base. Take off the lid with the connected pulp guard and pulp collector. Remove the blade with the black crescent tool that comes with all Jack Lalanne power juicers, then take out the filter and receptacle. If you have a removable juice spout, unlock it from the receptacle by turning the locking mechanism counter-clockwise and lifting it up.
- Wash the juicer components
Wash the pusher, lid, pulp collector and receptacle in warm, soapy water. Place the filter and blade under warm running water. Use a soft-bristled kitchen brush if necessary to remove stuck-on pulp. Dry all the components thoroughly.
- Wipe the base clean
Wipe the outer surface of the base with a damp cloth, then dry completely. Do not submerge the base in water.
- Reassemble the juicer
Lock the receptacle back on the base, followed by the filter, then the blade. Use the included crescent tool to secure the blade back into place as indicated on the juicer. Lock the juicer spout back into place on the receptacle, if it was removable. Place the pulp collector, lid and pusher back into position. Ensure all parts are locked into place before using the juicer again.
