For homemade mold removers, gather bleach, non-ammonia laundry detergent and warm water. Get a toilet scrubber or sponge designated only for use in the toilet.
Before mixing homemade products or applying cleansers, put on thick rubber gloves, a respirator mask and eye goggles. Read all labels before using or mixing products. Maintain good ventilation during and after cleaning.
To create a homemade solution, carefully mix the ingredients together. Combine 8 cups of warm water, 2 cups of bleach and 1/4 cup laundry detergent. Pour into a spray bottle.
Spray the mold-killing cleanser into the toilet anywhere mold is evident. Allow products to sitfor a while to remove stubborn mold.
Using the toilet scrubber or sponge, scrub away the mold. For serious mold problems, more than one application may be needed. When the mold is gone, flush the toilet to rinse the bowl, and wipe the outside of the toilet with clean, warm water.
