A Chambers gas stove refers to a line of stoves produced under the Chambers brand that was renowned for its well-insulated design. The first Chambers gas stove range was built out of Shelbyville, Indiana, in 1912 by John Chambers.
The first Chambers gas stove model was made using a combination of porcelain and cast iron. The brand enjoyed the peak of its popularity in the United States between the late 1930s and early 1940s, with thousands of units being sold. The company was sold in 1955 by the Chambers family, and the remaining stock of Chambers gas stoves was placed under the care of KitchenAid.
