Carrier HVAC units are manufactured by the Carrier Corporation, a member of UTC Building & Industrial Systems. Founded in 1915 by Willis Carrier, the Carrier Corporation is a world leader in heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration products. Carrier has manufacturing facilities in Indianapolis, Indiana; Collierville, Tennessee; and Charlotte, North Carolina.
In 2011, Carrier opened a new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico. It is the first HVAC factory in the world to receive the LEED Gold certification for green building performance. The company is committed to producing green products in green factories, according to the Carrier website. Its product lines include the Infinity, Performance and Comfort Series. Carrier products are also marketed under the brand names Bryant and Payne.
