Care for an angel trumpet plant by planting it in a good location, giving it plenty of space to grow, watering it well, feeding it with a water-soluble fertilizer and pruning it regularly. You need fertilizer, pruning shears and water.
- Plant it in a good location
Place an angel trumpet plant in a location that receives either full or partial sun, depending on your climate. For instance, plants in areas with high temperatures need partial shade during the afternoons. Plant the angel trumpet in a pot, and move it indoors in areas with lower temperatures.
- Provide room to grow
Give the plant plenty of room to grow because it can reach up to 20 feet high and 15 feet wide.
- Water it well
Water the plant well, but do not water it too often because root rot can occur. The soil needs to remain moist.
- Feed the plant
Feed the plant with a water-soluble fertilizer at least once a week and up to three times a week for full-grown plants.
- Prune the plant
Start pruning and training the plant while it is young to have one central leader or main branch. Trim the plant in the fall to maintain its shape and size.
