A car dolly is a small, lightweight towing device used to move vehicles with another vehicle. A car dolly attaches to another vehicle like a trailer does, and then the front tires or rear tires of the towed vehicle are placed on the dolly to haul it.
If the vehicle is front wheel drive, the front tires need to placed on the dolly. If the vehicle is rear wheel drive, the rear tires need to placed on the dolly. The vehicle needs to be secured with the chains attached to the dolly to ensure the vehicle does not roll off of the dolly.
