Online retailers, such as Amazon and Wal-Mart, often have a section of their websites devoted to each product's customer reviews. Online organizations such as Consumer Reports offer unlimited reviews for a small monthly or annual fee.
Amazon allows its customers to leave a star rating on a product that ranges from one to five stars. Each review is given a headline by the reviewer and space is provided to list the pros and cons of an item. Customers who read these reviews can then vote on whether the review was helpful in making a purchasing decision.
Wal-Mart uses a similar review system. Customers rate each product with a star rating, then go on to tell what they liked or didn't like about the grill.
