Sub Zero parts can only be purchased through a local Factory Certified Parts provider. The company offers a dealer locator function on its website that allows customers to search for parts providers, dealers, designers, installers and showrooms in their area.
Only Factory Certified Parts providers are authorized to sell genuine Sub Zero and Wolf parts. All parts sold through these providers are designed to last for many years, with most replacement parts lasting for 15 years or more. Sub Zero parts are designed for optimal performance and covered by a comprehensive one-year replacement warranty.
In 1945, Westye Bakke founded the Sub Zero Freezer Company in Madison, Wisconsin. Two years prior to this, Bakke built the world's first freestanding freezer in his basement. During the 1950s, Sub Zero developed the first built-in refrigerator. Sub Zero also developed a dual refrigeration system and claims to be the only manufacturer that uses this technology.
In 2000, Sub Zero purchased the Wolf Range Corporation and has since expanded its line of products to include range hoods, kitchen stoves, cooktops, warming drawers and wall ovens. Most Sub Zero products are finished in stainless steel, but many also come with an overlay option that allows customers to customize the exterior to match the rest of the kitchen.
