New oil tanks can be purchased from websites such as The Home Depot, Northern Tool and Global Industrial. As of 2015, the only oil tank that The Home Dept sells is the NetHeat vertical. The tank can hold up to 275 gallons and costs $459.
Although the website doesn't have a wide selection to choose from, it does offer a free ship-to-store option as well as a $99 ship-to-home option.
As of February 2015, Northern Tool has six options of oil tanks that range in price from about $800 to $2030. The cheapest option is the 275-gallon LiquiDynamics horizontal fuel storage tank, while the most expensive is the 275-gallon LiquiDynamics bulk-system oil tank. The most expensive tank comes outfitted with an oil pump and a 50-foot-long hose. The shipping costs for purchases from the Northern Tool website are dependent on ZIP code. The oil tanks sold on the website cannot be purchased in Northern Tool retail stores.
As of February 2015, Global Industrial sells three different kinds of oil tanks that range in price from about $551 to $730. The two lower-priced tanks hold a maximum of 275 gallons of oil, while the most expensive can hold up to 330 gallons.
