Owner's manuals for GE microwaves are available in PDF file format from the GE Appliance website as of 2015. The website also offers use and care manuals and installation instructions.
From the main GE Appliance website, click on the Support heading. In the Owner's Center section under this heading, click the Manuals & Literature link. This navigates the browser to the webpage that features an owner's manual search box. Entering a specific microwave model number and clicking the submit button brings up literature available for that unit. Depending on the browser used, clicking on a manual link either displays the manual in the browser or prompts a download dialog box.
GE microwave owner's manuals generally feature information under several headings: important safety information, operating instructions, helpful information, common problems and troubleshooting issues. These units typically preface the owner's manual with a warning about avoiding absorption of excess microwave energy. The manual cautions against operating an open or damaged microwave, or effecting unqualified repairs.
GE Appliance offers four categories of microwave ovens: over the range, built-in, combination microwave-and-oven and countertop models. The first two types are designed to be mounted, the first above ranges, into a ceiling or upper cabinet. The built-in models are installed between sandwiching cabinets.
