The Agricultural Research Service provides a plant zone map that is searchable by zip code, according to the United States Department of Agriculture. The map shows plant zones for the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
The hardiness zone map is interactive and is also available as a static image for those with slow Internet connections, notes the Agricultural Research Service. Users may download the map in its entirety or may download certain map regions or individual states. All are available in various sizes and resolutions. Planting zones are also available by zip code via ArborDay.org, according to the Arbor Day Foundation; however, these are not as specific as the zones provided by the Agricultural Research Service.
