Heated Gutter Helmet utilizes heated cables to melt ice and snow. The heated cables are typically installed directly under the Gutter Helmet, and the system turns on automatically when temperatures cool.
When installed with Gutter Helmet gutter guards, or other appropriate gutter guards, the system also prevents the accumulation of leaves and other debris in the gutter, which reduces the formation of ice dams in the gutters. The melted ice and snow is directed to the home's downspouts, helping to prevent icy patches on drives and walkways. The heated cables are connected to the home's electrical system during installation, and the Heated Gutter Helmet automatically turns off when the temperatures warm.
