As of February 2015, GE has an appliance part locator on its official website. Customers can then purchase parts through the online GE parts store or by calling the company's parts department. Customers should call GE when the appliance is still under warranty.
From the GE home page, click on "Filters & Parts" to get to the GE Parts Store. Then, search for a part by entering either the part number or the appliance model. GE also has links for appliance accessories that are grouped together, including water filters, appliance cleaners, pans and trays, water lines and hoses, and light bulbs.
GE also offers a store locator, where users can find retailers that carry GE products in their area. From the GE home page, users click on "Where to Buy" and enter their zip code to find the nearest stores. Major national retailers that carry GE products include Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy and Sears. Product and part selections at each location vary.
GE offers a 90-day return policy on parts purchased through its parts store. Items returned within 30 days do not incur a restocking fee, while items returned within 31 to 90 days have a $15 restocking fee.
