A Carrier HVAC warranty can be extended on most Carrier products for up to an additional five years, as of 2015. Restrictions may apply, and customers must register the products with warranty within 90 days of purchase.
Most Carrier product purchases come with a standard one-year factory labor and parts warranty. Consumers can choose to extend the warranty for labor only, parts only or both labor and parts. Carrier HVAC representatives can also customize a warranty to fit the needs of the customer.
With a full warranty, replacement parts or labor costs are covered at no expense to the customer. To protect the investment of an HVAC system, local Carrier dealers offer hassle-free warranty extensions, complete paperwork for the client and register the warranty with Carrier. Customers experiencing technical or functional issues with HVAC systems can contact a Carrier dealer or certified technician to complete the repairs. A certified Carrier service representative, once supplied with warranty information, forwards the repair expenses to Carrier instead of the customer.
To extend the life of HVAC systems, Carrier does recommend that customers complete routine maintenance, such as cleaning indoor and outdoor coils and replacing air filters frequently. Outdoor units may need to be wiped down, and shrubbery obstructing the vents should be removed.
