Fuller Brush products, which include personal care, cooking and cleaning products, can be purchased online directly from the brand's website. From the early 1900s to 1985, sales from Fuller Brush products were generated by the company's door-to-door salesmen.
Alfred C. Fuller founded the Fuller Brush Company in 1906. Originally from Nova Scotia, Fuller began crafting custom-made brushes in a basement shop in Massachusetts before moving to Hartford, Connecticut, to start the Fuller Brush Company. The company is best known for its door-to-door sales personnel known as the Fuller Brush Man and Fuller Brush Woman.
By the mid-1980s, the Fuller Brush Company started to try out other avenues for selling its products, such as sending out mail-order catalogs and opening outlets where slow-selling, flawed and returned products are sold. Towards the end of the decade, mail order catalogs accounted for 35 percent of the company's sales and 5 percent came from the outlet stores.
As of March 2015, the product offerings had expanded from personal care products to a wider range of household cleaning products, industrial cleaners and cookware. Other Fuller Brush Company-owned brands, such as Stanley Home Products and My Kitchen My Home, can be purchased from Fuller Brush's website.
