As of February 2015, Walmart sells toaster ovens from several brands, including Oster, Black & Decker and Cuisinart. Models available range from small, simple ovens for making toast or reheating leftovers to larger ovens that can replace or supplement a full-size oven.
On the low end, smaller toaster ovens are available that can toast four slices of bread and reheat leftovers. Most of the simpler ovens have a single slide-out tray and limited baking ability. Manual controls are used to set the desired function and temperature.
Larger ovens have the capacity to fit six slices of bread, and some can bake pizzas 12 inches in size. Many ovens have two adjustable racks, and controls can be either manual or digital. Users can choose between toast, bake, broil and keep-warm functions.
At the high end, sophisticated toaster ovens are available with convection cooking for faster cook times and more even browning. Preset cooking functions and programmable timers make for easy meal preparation. The ability to cook complete meals, including roasts and whole chickens, makes these ovens ideal replacements for full-size ovens.
Toaster ovens come with removable crumb trays for easy cleanup and are available in a range of colors, including black, white and stainless steel.
