To use an Imusa rice cooker, assemble the device, measure in the correct amount of rice and water, plug the cooker in, and press down the On switch. When the rice is ready, the indicator light automatically switches from Cook to Warm.
An Imusa rice cooker comes with the body of the cooker, an interior bowl, a transparent lid, an electrical cord, a measuring cup and a rice scoop. Place the bowl snugly inside the cooker on the heating plate, measure out the amount of rice and the correct level of water as indicated on the side of the bowl, and put the lid on the cooker. For brown rice or softer white rice, add slightly more water. For crunchier rice, use slightly less water. When the cooker is plugged into a standard electrical outlet, the Warm indicator light comes on until the user pushes down the On switch.
When the cooker is on, steam vents from the glass lid, so keep the cooker clear of cabinets and other kitchen furniture and items. Once the rice is cooked, the cooker continues to warm the rice as long as the appliance is plugged in. When the rice is ready, remove the lid, fluff the rice with the scoop, and add any extra ingredients, such as salt, pepper, herbs, butter and vegetables.
