Two-panel patio doors are generally either 82.5 or 94.5 inches high, and come in four standard widths: 59 inches, 71 inches, 82.5 inches, and 94.5 inches. This style of patio door includes both right-sliding and left-sliding varieties.
In addition to the common two-panel doors, patio doors can contain three, four or six panels, with one or two panels stationary and the others sliding. Three-paneled doors can be either right-sliding, left-sliding or center-opening. Four and six-paneled patio doors almost always open from the center outward. Each of these different styles of door has a unique set of standard widths, but the standards for height remain consistent.
