Armstrong Air products, including heat pumps, are manufactured in Orangeburg, South Carolina, as of 2015. In addition to two- and single-stage performance heat pumps, Armstrong Air produces gas and oil furnaces, air conditioners and handlers, the Comfort Sync thermostat, packaged units and coils.
Created by the Lennox Furnace Company in 1928, Armstrong Furnace was originally located in Columbus, Ohio. Since inception, the company has continued to develop and expand its line of heating and cooling products, which are assembled under the Allied Air brand. The Armstrong Air headquarters and research and development facility are located in Lexington County, South Carolina. The facility is home to a 40,000-square-foot research space.
