An air scrubber is a portable air filter that is generally used at work sites where a restoration job is happening. The restoration process may release potentially harmful contaminants including asbestos, mold spores, chemical fumes and lead.
Air scrubbers are deployed at these sites to filter the air of these contaminants to prevent them from settling in carpets, upholstery and on other areas of the premises. An air scrubber protects future occupants of the space, as well as the workers at the restoration site. High-powered air scrubbers using HEPA filters are capable of capturing particles as small as 0.3 microns.
