While visiting Christkindlmarkt you can find handmade crafts, jewelry and Christmas decor as well as a number of food vendors and a variety of performers. A complete weekly list of vendors is available on its website.
Christkindlmarkt is a seasonal shop within Christmas City, which is located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This seasonable market runs from late November until Christmas. Vendors may register to have a booth selling handmade crafts, jewelry, ornaments and other similar items. Vendors change on a weekly basis, with nearly 125 vendors at a time. Every night that Christkindlmarkt is open, performers from around the region entertain shoppers. The event also features a number of local food vendors.
In addition to the vendors, Christkindlmarkt features activities for your entire family. In the courtyard visitors can watch ice sculptures being carved or children can play in life-sized playhouses designed by local architects. There are also glassblowing demonstrations. Visitors ages 6 and older can even try their hand at creating their own glass-blown ornament.
In 2014, Christkindlmarkt celebrated its 20th anniversary. The market is open most weekends from Thursday until Sunday beginning in late November. For a full list of times, ticket prices and how to buy a season pass, visit the website.
