Some tips for creating a birthday ceremony program include choosing a design that fits the size of the paper to be used and one that suits the decor or theme of the ceremony. Whether the program is presented as a flat sheet, card or tri-fold, the program includes text about the order of events or presentations, as well as a general idea of the times of each.
Some word processing programs contain program templates with a completed design. If one of these suits the desired design, edits are made by clicking on the various sections and changing or adding images, text or design elements. If none of the templates suits the ceremony, one option is to create a new program from scratch, inserting borders, clip art and text boxes to create separated sections for each part of the program.
If the ceremony includes special speakers or musical guests, the order of events includes their names and occupations or instruments, if desired. Some other sections to include are an about section, a special comments section or a poem for the birthday person. Some templates include spaces for images, which are uploaded by clicking on the image box and selecting the desired image from a photo file. Otherwise, an image is easy to drag and drop into the document, and then resized or moved by adjusting the corner of the photo.
