Which Three of Santa's Reindeer Begin With the Letter "D"?

Dasher, Dancer and Dunder (more commonly referred to as Donner) are the names of Santa's three reindeer that begin with the letter "D." They are the first, second and seventh reindeer listed in the Christmas poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas."

"Twas the Night Before Christmas" was published in the Troy Sentinel newspaper under the title "A Visit from St. Nicholas" in 1823. It was in this poem that the idea of Santa using eight reindeer to pull his sleigh first originated. Rudolph wasn't introduced until the late 1930s when his story was published as a book to be given to children Christmas Eve by a department store chain.
