In order to sign up for a Target baby registry, go to the baby registry page on the Target website. On this page, a shopper can manage or view an existing registry, create a new baby registry, view starter registries for ideas and inspiration and view the benefits and some of the rules regarding the Target baby registry.
A new registry can be created in a few steps.
- Go to the baby registry section on the Target website
- Enter baby information
- Complete the sign-up process
- Add items to the registry
On reaching the Target baby registry page, click on "Create your own." The prompt "Do you already have a Target account?" will appear. If the shopper has a Target account, simply sign in with the proper username and password. If the shopper does not have an existing Target account, then he or she will be required to sign up for one, which will require a first and last name, an email address and a password.
The shopper will be asked to enter information regarding the expected baby, such as expected due date, location and other options like whether this is the first baby, whether gift cards should be included and if the registry should be searchable on the Target website and in stores.
The registrant first and last name is important, because this is how others will search for the registry. Confirm the first and last name as well as the appropriate role, such as "mother," "father" or "parent." A co-registrant can be added to the registry as well. The appropriate shipping address will need to be confirmed to allow gift givers to ship items directly to your desired location.
At this point, items can be added to the registry.
