Games featuring Santa include "Rise Of The Guardians," "Merry Gear Solid: Secret Santa" and "Special Delivery: Santa's Christmas Chaos." Released for most major gaming platforms, "Rise Of The Guardians" is an action-adventure game with RPG elements.
Based on the 2012 film of the same name, "Rise Of The Guardians" follows a hero named Jack Frost as he battles evil with the help of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. This video game was developed by Torus Games and published by D3 Publisher. Created by Arthur Lee, "Merry Gear Solid: Secret Santa" features a top-down view and is a parody of the "Metal Gear" series for NES.
A relatively obscure release for the Commodore 64 computer system, "Special Delivery: Santa's Christmas Chaos" was the first game that allowed players to directly control Santa Claus. The game follows Santa as he tries to deliver all of his presents on Christmas Eve. Santa's journey is aided by helpful angels and obstructed by devils. After slipping chimneys and fire unharmed, Santa must sneak around placing presents while avoiding sleeping children. People can also play as Santa Claus in "Daze Before Christmas," a scrolling adventure game released internationally on the Mega Drive and the SNES.
