The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad begins running its polar express excursions in mid-November in 2015 and offers first-class, crown-class and coach-class seating. Different amenities apply depending on seating choice, but all get to meet Santa, enjoy cocoa and a cookie, hear the story narrated and sing carols.
The French Lick Scenic Railway begins its excursions in early November. Passengers choose between first class and coach. Santa comes aboard at the North Pole, and all passengers may wear their pajamas on the ride.
The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad starts later in November. The excursion offers first-class, deluxe and coach seating. Children get a special gift from Santa, and all passengers have the opportunity to enjoy cocoa and a treat.Learn more about Christmas
