The Pumpkin Lady provides hundreds of free pumpkin carving patterns and a tutorial on how to carve a pumpkin with a pattern. First, cut out the top and remove the seeds. Download the desired pattern or template, and tape it onto the pumpkin. Using a nail, poke small holes around the lines of the pattern, and then remove the pattern. Carve along the holes to cut out the necessary pieces. Place a light in the pumpkin to create a jack-o-lantern.
In order to download stencils and pattern from House of the Zombie Pumpkins website, create an account and log in. The patterns are divided into categories such as unique creations, movie monsters, creatures for kids and grinning jacks.
