Some fun Halloween treat recipes include candy corn-marshmallow Rice Krispies treats and boo cups. To make the first recipe, heat 1/4 cup of butter in the microwave until fully melted, approximately 45 seconds on high. Toss 6 cups of miniature marshmallows in the butter until they are fully coated, and then heat them in the microwave for 45 seconds.
Add 4 drops of red food coloring and 12 drops of yellow food coloring, and microwave the marshmallows for an additional 15 to 45 seconds, until the marshmallows melt completely. Stir the marshmallows until the food coloring is evenly distributed.
Mix in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal and 2 cups of candy corn. Coat a 9-by-13-inch pan with non-stick spray, and transfer the mixture to the pan. Press the mix down and into the corners until the surface is roughly flat. Allow the dish to cool before serving.
To make boo cups, whisk together 2 3.9-ounce packages of instant chocolate-flavored pudding and 3 1/4 cups of cold milk for approximately 2 minutes. Add in half of an 8-ounce tub of thawed non-dairy whipped topping and 10 crushed Oreo cookies.
Crush 10 more Oreo cookies, and add 1 tablespoon each into 15 clear 6-ounce plastic cups. Divide the pudding mixture evenly between the cups, and then top the cups with the remaining cookie crumbs. Top each cup with a dollop of non-dairy whipped topping to look like ghosts, and use two miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips each to imitate their eyes.
