There is some flexibility in how you format a baby dedication program, but a general rule is to format the program as a booklet that includes a cover, an inside cover and a main page. A program should include information about the ceremony, the order of events and the people involved.
Use the cover page to introduce the event. Tell guests that they are there to witness the dedication of the baby, perhaps adding a short explanation of why the dedication is important to your family. You could also add a photo, decorative element, religious symbol or the date of the dedication. Keep the cover simple, since the bulk of the information appears on the inside pages.
The inside cover is where you list the order of events. Include all major parts of the ceremony, such as the recognition of the family, service of dedication and any prayers or passages the pastor will read.
On the main page, list the names of everyone taking part in the ceremony, including the pastor, parents, baby and anyone else who will stand with the family, such as siblings, godparents and grandparents. Wedding programs outline similar information and details and may serve as useful formatting examples.
