Easy Christmas projects include making corsages and favors out of felt and using family photos or pipe cleaners to make ornaments. Baby socks make a cute and simple Advent calendar.
To make a special corsage for a Christmas event, cut holly leaf shapes out of felt and add ribbons and bells. This also makes a nice napkin holder for a holiday dinner. For cute holiday favors, cut out felt mice shapes but make a slot where the tail goes and insert a candy cane. Glue buttons to card stock to make snowman or Christmas tree shapes.
Use a cookie cutter to make a photo frame ornament. Print out a small photo and trace the shape of the cookie cutter on it. Use white glue to attach both the photo and a ribbon for hanging. Make pipe cleaners into snowflakes by first twisting two into a cross shape. Cut smaller pieces and twist them on to the main stems. Twist red and white pipe cleaners together and bend to make a candy cane.
Use baby socks for a charming Advent calendar. Buy them in different colors and sizes, use clothespins to hang them from a ribbon, and fill them with little gifts. Thread a needle with dental floss and string a garland of popcorn or cranberries.
