To create a wedding registry on The Knot as of 2016, visit the TheKnot.com home page and place the cursor over My Knot Tools. On the drop-down menu that appears, click Registry. Click Get Started on the Registry page, and then click one of the available retailers to open up that retailer's website and create a registry.
The Knot allows users to create wedding registries through its partner retailers and then display all the chosen items on one registry. On the Your Registries page that opens in a new window after clicking Get Started, click a retailer to open a pop-up box with information on that retailer's registry options. Click Create a Registry to open that retailer's registry page in a new window.
Each retailer requires an online account for wedding registries. Proceed through the account creation process, add the necessary information for the wedding parties, and then add items to your registry.
After you've started a registry, you can view it by logging in to your account on TheKnot.com. The Your Registries page also has a registry lookup tool for those who have already started a registry at a partner retailer. The tool is available under the Add an Existing Registry heading. To use it, enter a first name, last name and wedding date.
