Some card-making ideas are to use fabric, flowers or other pretty objects to make the card unique. Or, play with fonts and clip art to make a quick and simple card on the computer. Use textiles or other items from around the house as inspiration for colors and patterns.
To add sewing to a card, stitch a flower from ribbon and accent the edges of the card with sewn lines. Or, print out a pattern on a sheet of paper and sew over the lines with selected colors of thread. Use fabric without sewing by gluing it on to the background of the card and adding embellishments like buttons.
Real flowers make a charming card decoration. Press and dry the flowers. After they are completely dry, attach them to the card with dry adhesive dots. Or, glue less delicate objects, such as beads and safety pins arranged into patterns and shapes, onto the card.
Make a simple card by using stamps or stickers and placing them in a grid or other pattern. Use scraps and other odd leftovers from scrap booking or other crafts to make a collage on the front of the card. Glue one end of a wire coil to the back of a shape and attach the other end to the card to make the shape "bounce."
