After creating an account on Amazon.com, select Wish List from the top of any Amazon web page to begin making your list. Click on Create your Wish List, and then either enter or confirm your existing personal information. This may include your default shipping address, birthday and personal preferences. Once you hit Save, you may start adding items to the list.

Search Amazon.com for gift items. Once you find something, click on the product to bring up the product page, then click the Add to Wish List button under the Buy box. Certain items won't add, such as out-of-print books, items that are out-of-stock and those that have quantity restrictions. Once the list is complete, go back to the Wish List button, then click Manage your Lists to select the privacy setting. If it's set on public, anyone can search for and find the list.

You may also add items from other websites, or add a spoiler surprise setting so you can't see what gifts have been purchased. The Amazon Wish List and the spoiler surprise may be edited at any time.
