A 75th birthday or anniversary is commonly known as a "diamond jubilee." However, a diamond jubilee can also refer to a 60th birthday or anniversary.
Some countries, such as India and Pakistan, sometimes refer to the 100-week mark as a diamond jubilee. Different anniversaries have different terms associated with them. The 25th anniversary, for example, is known as a "silver jubilee," while the 50th is known as a "golden jubilee."
Governments and heads of state often hold jubilees for the years they have reigned. In 2012, for example, British Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her diamond jubilee, marking 60 years since ascending the throne. She began her reign in February 1952.
