In order to use Ravelry's pattern directory, it is necessary to register for the site. To do that, go to ravelry.com and click the Join Now button on the right side. The site asks you for an email address to send you a sign-up link. Clicking on the link takes you to an account creation page where you can register your username and password. Once you are registered and can enter the site, you can click on the Patterns tab, which then allows you to set the parameters for your pattern search.
