One player tip for “Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack” is to learn the controls first. A second tip is to always run backwards at the start of the stage to look for hidden items such as weapons.
In “Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack,” players control Louie using a computer keyboard. The left and right arrow keys move him back and forth, and the space bar makes him jump. When in the air, players can hold down the space bar to glide. Players can make Louie swing a hammer with the Z button or throw a pepper bomb with X.
Players receive a score at the end of every stage based on how long it took them to complete the stage and how many coins they collected. Since the first few stages are relatively easy, players can quickly collect coins and rush to the end without having to worry about too many monsters. Louie can take five hits before dying.
Players must kill the cheese monsters on every stage. These monsters hold the pizzas that Louie needs to free the people at the end of each stage. The number of pizzas that Louie has to collect differs on each stage. Gamers can see how many pizzas they need by looking down in the bottom, right-hand corner of the game screen.
