Some timed math facts games include "Penguin Jump Multiplication" and "Drag Race Division." These games allow players to compete for the best time and first place. Both games are available to play for free online at MathPlayground.com.
In "Penguin Jump Multiplication," the players must solve multiplication tables using times tables zero through 12. At the start of the game, players line up and compete against three other penguins. A multiplication problem appears on the bottom of the screen, and the players jump to the iceberg bearing the correct answer. If an answer is incorrect, the penguin falls into the water, and the player has to try again. At the end of the race, the players see their place at the finish line and the time it took to complete all of the questions.
"Drag Race Division" pits players against three other racers. In order to get more power to their race cars, players must correctly answer a division problem. An incorrect answer slows the players down. When the players reach the finish line, they wait for the other racers to complete the racetrack. When all the players arrive, the players see their final scores, the percentage of questions answered correctly and the number of problems solved in one minute.
