"Syobon Action 2" is an unofficial, fan-made sequel to the two-dimensional freeware game first released by a Japanese developer in 2007. The original game, "Syobon," is modeled on Nintendo's "Super Mario Bros." franchise and stars a cat instead of Mario.
"Syobon Action 2" contains five more levels than the original, as well as four of the original levels. Just like its predecessor, "Syobon Action 2" is known for its difficulty and unpredictability. Unconventional elements like falling bricks and unstable platforms that don't exist in "Super Mario Bros." can kill the cat without warning. Because of the feline substitute for Mario, the game is also known as Cat Mario.
