Stay Alive is a fictional video game that is central to the plot of the movie with the same title. In the movie, the game Stay Alive is supposedly based on the legend of a notorious Blood Countess who bathes in the blood of young women in order to stay young. The characters in the movie die after playing the game in the same manner that their in-game characters die in the game.
"Stay Alive" is a 2006 horror movie directed by William Brent Bell who wrote the story with Matthew Peterman. The film was generally received with negative reviews, with Rotten Tomatoes giving it a 9 percent rating and Metacritic giving it an average score of 24 out of 100. Bell and Peterman also wrote the 2012 supernatural horror film "The Devil Inside" and the 2013 werewolf film "Wer."
