Some social studies games for kids include "Supreme Decision" and "Checks and Balances." Both of these games are available to play online at BrainPop for free, as August 2015.
In "Supreme Decision," players are helpers for one of the Supreme Court justices. Players get to hear both sides of the cases and help the justice make a final decision. Players get to hear the details that go into such decisions and arguments over the meaning of the Constitutional amendments.
"Checks and Balances" is a social studies game that helps children learn more about the three branches of American government and their functions. Players place words to complete sentences about the duties of each branch to see how these duties create a system of checks and balances.
