Participants can team with other players to fight against monsters and obstacles.
In "Perfect World International," each player joins a guild and becomes part of a 200-player game with common goals. The "PWI" map is broken into a large number of territories that give guilds an option to conquer and govern while earning coins that benefit the guild and its members. These territory wars have a three-hour maximum time cap. Within the territory war, there are classes of individuals that have unique roles to perform. "PWI" is based on Chinese mythology and is set in the mythical world of Pangu. The game launched in January 2006.
"PWI" is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that mixes the genres of role-playing video games and massive multiplayer online games. MMORPGs are Internet-based games in which large numbers of players interact with one another within a virtual world. MMORPGs are distinguished from single-player or small multi-player online games by the number of players able to interact together. The game's persistent setting continues to exist and evolve while the player is offline and away from the game. The player assumes the role of a character and takes control over its actions.
