"Minecraft" makes use of seeds or unique codes for creating the game world. Players can use the same seeds to create identical worlds. Seeds may also refer to the in-game items that let players grow plants.
By default, "Minecraft" generates a seed code based on the computer clock's current settings and uses this code to create a unique world. Players who like the features found in particular worlds may save the seed codes for future re-creation of these worlds. Seeds that players use for planting grow into a variety of plants, such as melons, pumpkins and wheat. Some of these plants produce food and materials that players can exchange for profit and other materials.
