The Xbox 360 is a gaming system developed by Microsoft. Players generally play from a game disc. However, it's possible to save and install games on the Xbox's hard drive. This allows the game to load faster and not have to rely on the disc for information. Installing a game is simple and easy, but when completed, players still need the disc to initiate the game.
Load the disc into the drive
Select the game you want to install and load the disc into the drive. The game may start automatically, but if this happens, simply exit to the Xbox Home screen
Select the game
At the Xbox Home screen, select the game icon and press X for "Game Details." This brings up a menu for the game. Before installing, make sure you have between 4 GB and 8 GB of free hard drive space. If you don't have enough available drive space, you cannot install the game.
At the "Game Details" menu, select "install" and press A. The installation process starts immediately. This may take up to 12 minutes depending on the size of the game. It should be noted that games can be installed on USB drives; installation is not limited to the hard drive.
