Who Is Raymond Joseph Teller?


Raymond Joseph Teller is the magician known as "Teller." He had his name legally changed. He is half of the comedy magic duo "Penn & Teller." He usually performs his comedy routine in silence, and he is also a producer and writer.

Teller was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 14th, 1948. Before he was famous, he taught English and Latin at the high school level in New Jersey. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for live theatre which was awarded April 5th, 2013. He is known for his work on Penn & Teller, Bullshit!, Sin City Spectacular and Fantasia/2000. When he was a guest on The Simpsons, he went against his trademark of being silent and spoke five lines.
