Some popular "Gold Miner" games include the original "Gold Miner" and "Las Vegas Gold Miner." In the original "Gold Miner," players control a character with a claw and try to catch gold and other valuable items. "Las Vegas Gold Miner" works the same, but gives players control of a cart.
In both versions of the game, players must make a certain amount of money in one minute to advance to the next level. Players also most avoid large rocks that are worth little money but take a long time to reel in with the claw. In "Las Vegas Gold Miner," player must also avoid moving wombat creatures. After completing a level, players can purchase tools to help them, such as dynamite and mineral books that increase the value of gold and other valuables.
