Popular two players games include Hangman and Capture, which is also known as Boxes or Squares. These games require just a pencil and paper to play.
In Hangman, one player picks a word and the other player must guess the word. The player who picks the word then draws a gallows and a series of dashes that represent each letter of the word. The other player tries to discover the word by guessing one letter at a time. If that player guesses a letter that is in the word, the other player fills it in on the correct dashed line. If the player guesses an incorrect letter, that letter is noted on the paper and then a body part is drawn on the gallows. If the body in the gallows is complete before the guesser discovers the word, then the guessing player loses.
