The free website Dueling Network hosts online multiplayer Yu-Gi-Oh card games. The website is a Flash-based simulation of the real-life card game. As of 2015, Dueling Network has over 4 million users with servers able to handle up to 91,000 players at once. The website allows users to chat either in-game or with other users directly. Players can construct custom decks and check other players' profiles and rankings as well as their own.
Dueling Network was created by Christopher Salvarani in 2006 and released officially in 2011. Dueling Network gives users free unlimited use; however, a rewards-based donation system is available. By donating at least $1, users gain three days of special privileges. The privileges include access to the site even when the servers are at maximum capacity, custom avatars, custom sleeves and a profile badge.
Although Dueling Network is the largest online Yu-Gi-Oh simulator, the free mobile app Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Generation from Konami allows beginner and advanced players to compete both online and offline. Duel Generation also allows users to collect cards, build custom decks and participate in weekly challenges.
The online flash game Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Academy brings the popular Nintendo DS game to PC browsers. Duel Academy, from GamesLOL.net, is a part of the DS game released in 2006. Duel Academy trains players to become the "King of Games."
